Another day, another new Australian male modelling face pops up at the Fall/Winter 2013/2014 menswear shows – and like so many others, this one also has university affiliations. Overnight in Paris Priscillas’ James Gatenby made his international runway debut opening the Louis Vuitton show.

Twenty year-old Gatenby, who is doing a science degree at the University of Sydney, was scouted a little over a year ago. His modest portfolio of work thus far in Australia has included an editorial for The Australian’s Wish magazine, a lookbook for Just Jeans and a couple of runway appearances – for Christopher Esber at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia and also Myer.

Having now caught the eye of European casting directors, Gatenby is apparently considering taking a “Gap” year this year.

We wish him all the best – but really hope he manages to complete his studies.

Meanwhile, here are some unseen digis of Gatenby courtesy Priscillas.
